Top tips on slimming
Slimming plans on your agenda? Before rushing into strict diets and make yourself feel miserable, there are a few things you need to do first. Read our recommendation below and follow this simple steps that will help you lose weight the right way.
1. Don’t go on a diet –they do not work . . .
Successful slimming is more likely to be achieved by subtle changes in your eating habits and lifestyle. Changes that you can live with and come to enjoy. Your diet should be based on your staple foods but incorporate a salad to get all the 6 tastes.
2. Eat slowly to eat less . . .
Put your spoon, knife and fork down between mouthfuls, sip water with your meals and take smaller bites. ( Don’t drink too much water as it would dilute the enzymes in the gut to digest the food). The body takes time to recognize it has eaten enough food. If you eat slowly your body will want less. You don’t have to finish your plate – your stomach is not a bin!
3. Don’t abolish any foods from your slimming diet – especially the foods you like . . .
you will only crave them!. Eat them in small amounts occasionally.
4. Visualize your goal . . .
You need to know why you want to lose weight. Why? How will you know you have succeeded? When you do reach your goal how will you look? What will you are doing? How will you feel? What clothes will be in your wardrobe?
5. Never give up . . .
It may take time to reach your goal, so have smaller goals..
6. Keep a food diary . . .
write down foods/drinks that have eaten. You will see if you are over-eating, whether you are eating enough fruits and vegetables or eating high calorie, high kapha (fat increasing energy) foods.
7. If you are eating more fast foods ….
consider having a broad spectrum protein, vitamin and mineral supplement – to ensure adequate digestion.
8. If you want encouragement…

9. Time not to go shopping . . .
when you are peckish. Research shows people eat food that they have bought, be it good or bad, because they do not like throwing food away.
